Alokai joins MACH Alliance

June 23, 2020

Microservices-based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless (MACH) technologies are the future of building software that is able to reconcile the needs of users with the needs of the business.

Alokai, as a member of the MACH Alliance—a group of tech companies founded by commercetools, Contentstack, EPAM Systems, and Valtech—will be spreading knowledge about the potential of headless technology.

MACH Approach to eCommerce

The official launch of the MACH Alliance took place today, and Alokai was among the first to receive an invitation to be part of the initiative.

“We didn't need time to think about it. It’s a no-brainer for us that headless technologies with an API-first approach are about to completely change the way we create software systems. The possibility to stand alongside the most prominent companies that share that view is a chance we simply couldn’t miss.”

Piotr Karwatka, co-creator and co-founder of Alokai.

The MACH Alliance is deeply rooted in the belief that open, modular architecture based on microservices is the best answer to the challenges standing in the way of business growth, such as software scalability and customization limitations. The biggest players across all industries have already started to see the advantages of composable systems and how they are able to efficiently keep up with fast-paced changing business needs—and yet the common opinion that all-in-one solutions are the safest choice persists.

Even though many companies have slowly started to realize the crucial role of system flexibility in regards to business growth and are looking for smart alternatives to what suites can offer, there is still little knowledge of available solutions. The main goal of the MACH Alliance is to turn the tables by driving awareness of what businesses can win by adopting more agile systems.

The MACH Alliance has gathered the most credible and dedicated partners with a common vision on how the future eCommerce will look like. It has a real chance to finally make a crack in the so-far bulletproof armor of monoliths. We want to be at the forefront of the trend, as the core concept and vision of Alokai from the very beginning was aligned with what we all are trying to achieve here.  I strongly believe that a close collaboration between all of the MACH alliance members can have a significant impact and bring a lot of good to the eCommerce industry.

The alliance is to serve as a guide for companies willing to explore a more modern, agile, and effective tech stack and ecosystems, by delivering educational materials, organizing events, and sharing technical insights.

During the opening webinar on 7 June, the founding members will show what a MACH platform consists of, how it serves enterprises, and answering questions about how to navigate the landscape.
